Today, we are living in a society where many young people are having tough time trying to take care of themselves. All through their lives their parents have helped them, and they have learned that if there’s something they can’t take care of, their parents will take over and handle the things for them. In the end they get so used to it that they never even try. They’re counting on their parents to it for them, like they always have.

Along the years it has been more and more common to see these children, actually it has become a whole new generation. It’s called the “curling-generation” because the brooms that sweeps before the stone in curling, so that it moves forward faster, symbolizes the parents, who sweeps away every obstacle their little precious darlings should hit, so that they can make it all the way to the top. The stone that, because of the brooms, glides smoothly into the middle of the circle and scores max points is, in this case, the children.

But what happens to the curling kids when they don’t have their parents anymore? Suddenly they are left all alone, and how will they be able to take care of themselves, when they are so used to getting everything served without them having to do anything at all? They think that people will come up to them and offer them good jobs, and they think that they will still get everything served.

Besides the fact that this generation needs to learn how to take care of themselves, they also have to deal with the fact that they will have to solve some pretty significant problems. Here I’m referring to things like the climate changes, which can result in serious consequences for the world, as we know it today. If problems like this don’t get solved in the nearest future the cost can be fatal, and it’s our generation, the curling-generation, who has to deal with it. Other severe problems like the economical crisis also have to be solved by the curling-generation. If they can’t do it, it could possibly be too late to make up for it. That’s why it is very important to find the consequences of this curling-generation/-kids and what you can do to stop this increasing generation. That is what this paper is about.
